You upload your extended public keys (xpub) to your account.
Unchained never has access to your private keys.
If a single key is ever compromised, our platform will facilitate creating new keys transferring funds to a new vault.
Vaults
Create a secure 2-of-3 multisig vault by simply uploading your two xpub keys.
Every time a withdrawal or transfer occurs, a new multisig address is generated for you.
You are provided with all the guidance required to access your vault funds outside of Unchained’s platform using your two keys and backup failsafe software.
You can create as many vaults as you need.
Transactions & signing
All transactions are on-chain and withdrawals require your keys to sign.
Only you can initiate a transaction. If you control both of your keys, you can always sign without any involvement from Unchained.
For certain vault types and thresholds, Unchained will validate your identity & intent prior to cosigning.
Once two keys have signed a transaction, the responsibility is on you to broadcast.
