How does the bitcoin source code define its 21 million cap?

,The SOC audits validate our internal controls across finance, security, confidentiality, and availability.
Today, Unchained is pleased to announce that we’ve recently completed SOC 1 Type 2 (“SOC 1”) and SOC 2 Type 2 (“SOC 2”) audits. These audits, spanning three months in late 2022, concluded with our independent auditor presenting Unchained with SOC 1 and 2 reports confirming that our internal controls meet or exceed SOC requirements.
We’re now one of a handful of businesses that put clients in control of their bitcoin keys to have passed these rigorous SOC audits.
Governed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), SOC reports are a way to verify that an organization has not only implemented internal controls in line with best practices related to finances, security, confidentiality, and availability but also that these controls are effective.
Although SOC examinations are rigorous and require a significant amount of time and resources, successfully concluding these audits demonstrates our commitment to becoming the world’s premier financial services provider for bitcoin holders.
Being able to verify that we have tried and tested controls will reassure existing and future clients of the security of their funds and data. It also validates our unique approach to collaborative custody, which is the most secure and reliable way for businesses, financial institutions, and trusts to take ownership of their bitcoin by holding their own private keys.
Going forward, Unchained is committed to maintaining SOC compliance and will maintain the same stringent security, compliance, and risk management principles that our clients expect.
